Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of Market Access and Public Policy Objectives
- Support the development and execution of integrated policy and access strategies for Oncology products that align with the broader external affairs strategy and contribute to the organization’s commercial goals.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the public policy landscape for Oncology, identifying barriers and opportunities to shape policy and secure access to Oncology products, thereby broadening patient access in Indonesia, particularly within BPJS.
- Maintain external Oncology stakeholder maps, including key officials, assembly members, patient groups, and academic and clinical organizations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Oncology policy objectives, health priorities, and planned government initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Medical) to create access and policy strategy plans or MCBM focused on Oncology products and key growth drivers in the public sector and other emerging channels.
- Understand HTA/payer needs and requirements in key HTA markets, including relevant comparators, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and QALY, while tracking trends affecting the HTA and regulatory environment.
- Develop pricing, access, and health technology assessment strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the value proposition and access strategy.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to establish the Cancer Coalition by engaging medical associates, patient community groups, and related stakeholders (e.g., universities).
- Prepare and submit pricing proposals and supporting business cases for senior leadership and global approval.
- Collaborate with the communications lead to develop and convey value proposition messages to external key stakeholders.
2. Leadership and Strategic Counsel
- Contribute to fostering an aligned and constructive organizational culture.
- Report on the implications of public policy and access developments for Oncology products to the broader business.
Requirements
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in pharmacy, health, or science.
2. Experience
- Experience in government relations, market access, health economics, outcomes research, pricing, or policy within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of key market access and policy issues related to oncology, with experience in addressing these challenges.
- Proven success in managing stakeholders and developing and implementing effective access strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, influential relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and government officials.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
3. Critical Competencies for Success
- Policy and Access Navigation:Ability to identify optimal routes for securing government reimbursement and potential CoB or risk-sharing programs for oncology products.
- Understanding of Government Mindset:Insights into the attitudes of key policymakers and officials regarding oncology products.
- Policy Analysis:Proven track record of analyzing public policy developments and translating their implications into meaningful commercial impacts for oncology products.
- Engagement and Advocacy:Experience in identifying and engaging with key decision-makers and influencers among external stakeholders, understanding their motivations.
- Strategic Pricing:Ability to inform innovative pricing decisions based on product value propositions, considering the competitive landscape, market environment, and profitability goals throughout the product lifecycle.
