Job summary

A leading engineering company in Indonesia is seeking a Sales Support professional to assist the sales force with technical applications, project sales, and customer support. The ideal candidate holds a degree in hydraulic machinery or related fields, possesses strong communication skills in English, and has experience with pumps or control panels. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, managing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective logistics coordination and training support.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree holder in hydraulic machinery, electric machines, power electronics or control field.
  • Good command in oral and written English.
  • Experience with pumps or control panels maintenance or consultancy or sales works, will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to sales engineers and customers regarding product choices and applications.
  • Calculate GRP and sales prices and provide project quotations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and technical problems.
  • Process special orders and inquiries in coordination with suppliers.
  • Handle tenders and projects, providing dimensions and specifications.
  • Assist in technical training for internal staff.
  • Follow up on delivery time schedules and manage deviations.
  • Provide technical assistance to service administration.
  • Coordinate with services and logistics to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with product segments or suppliers for problem-solving.

Job description

First task: Provision of support to the sales force in terms of applications, project sales, system solutions, documentation, calculations, product maintenance, etc.

Second task: To perform the task of project and pumps order processing.

Third task: To provide support to the sales force in term of customer visit, technical training, etc.

Your main responsibilities
  • To provide technical assistance to the sales engineers and customers regarding choice of products, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, prices, etc.
  • To calculate GRP and sales prices of non-standard as well as out-of-price list material, provide project quotation and SOR and other required documents for orders.
  • To respond to customers inquiries and give a brief explanation of the technical problem, alternatively proceed to the person(s) concerned for assistance.
  • To process special orders and inquiries in coordination with the supplier.
  • To help the sales force by handling tenders and projects, include providing dimension, specifications, calculations, time of delivery, operation and maintenance issues, etc.
  • To assist and coordinate in the technical training for internal staff & LDs.
  • Help to follow-up the time schedule of deliveries agreed upon and take appropriate action in case of deviations.
  • To provide technical assistance to the service administration.
  • To coordinate with the services and logistics function to improve the customer's satisfactions.
  • To communicate with the respective product segment or other suppliers, where local problem solving is not available.
Your background
