Job summary

PT. SOXAL BATAMINDO Industrial Gases in Batam is looking for a Plant Operator to monitor daily plant operations, perform liquid nitrogen transfers from road tankers to on-site storage, and keep accurate logs of storage tanks and plant performance.

You will support site safety, housekeeping, and routine maintenance, escalate issues to engineers and management, and work with teams to ensure smooth operation in a hazardous industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of personal and process safety standards within an industrial plant context.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude to handle minor equipment issues and routine plant operations.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly within teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs site housekeeping.
• Performs liquid nitrogen transfer from Road Tanker to on-site storage tank according to documented procedure.
• Performs daily logging of plant back-up storage tank and plant performance
• Maintains the security of the site.
• Assists in plant maintenance activities
• Reports to Operations Engineers if there is any plant breakdown / product or process non-conformance.
• Reports to the Senior Accounts & Admin Executive if there is any site issue.

PT. SOXAL BATAMINDO Industrial Gases is the industrial gases filling centre to support the growing market demand in Batam. We supply compressed oxygen, compressed argon, compressed and food grade CO2, compressed nitrogen, acetylene and various types of gases mixtures.

This role is responsible for daily plant monitoring, site housekeeping, security maintenance, and safely transferring liquid nitrogen from road tankers to on-site storage. Additionally, the position assists with routine plant maintenance and promptly reports site issues, breakdowns, or product non-conformances to engineers and administrative management.
