Job description

The Assistant Manager Commercial is responsible for pre- and post-contract administration and risk management of assigned New Installations & Modernization projects, provides strong commercial support to the Sales and project team, and works closely with external parties such as customers, consultants, and external lawyers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-contract assessment and post contract management
  • Risk and opportunity management of assigned projects.
  • Review tenders/new orders and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Negotiate contractual terms together with Sales team
  • Assist Project team on solving contractual matters
  • Ensure timely submission of progress claims and invoices
  • Ensure all variation works are in accordance with the contract
  • Prepare Final Account and ensure timely settlement
  • Prepare insurance claims and assist with extension of time claims
  • Liaise with external lawyer on contractual / legal disputes
  • Attend monthly project review meetings and Credit Control meetings

Skills

  • Desired experience in similar positions for at least 2-5 years working in Construction Industry as Quantity Surveyor, Cost Control and Commercial Team
  • Familiar experience in review tender documents, contract arrangement and cost control/construction progress
  • Desired completed university education in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Business Administration
