About the role

As an Assistant Manager of Process Safety Management SHE at PT Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. This full-time position is based in Sumatera Utara and will involve overseeing the implementation of comprehensive safety and environmental management systems.

Responsibilities
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring process safety management systems to identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with our manufacturing operations.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to investigate incidents, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining detailed records and reporting on key performance indicators to management.
  • Staying up‑to‑date with industry best practices and new developments in process safety management.
Qualifications
  • Willing to be relocated and working at Sei Mangkei, North Sumatera.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar safety, health and environment (SHE) role, preferably within the manufacturing industries.
  • Degree in engineering, environmental science or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing process safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant SHE regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and lead safety initiatives.
