A leading marine company in Indonesia is seeking a qualified engineer with significant experience in shipbuilding and repair. Responsibilities include evaluating project scopes, ensuring compliance with international construction codes, and training department engineers. The candidate must have a degree in Mechanical or Marine engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, along with strong problem-solving skills and fluency in English.
To evaluate the project scope and carry out assessment
Ensure work is carried out in compliance with international construction codes and class specifications
Ensure work in carried out as per work to permit system and with proper hazard /risk analyses
Compliance to production schedule for repair and new construction project.
Ensure quality inspections are carried out with Internal and external qc as per inspection plan and liaise on quality matters with QA Department.
Assist in logistic /spares / materials and stores.
Coordinating with owner’s representative and classification authority.
Ensure Projects are delivered as per owner satisfaction without LTI
Train Department engineer on projects works scope execution and management
To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy of shipyard
Degree qualification in Mechanical/Marine engineering or equivalent
10 Years of relevant experience in Shipbuilding and ship repair in shipyard & marine and Offshore Industry
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Capable of writing technical reports, work procedures, and clear documentation.
Working knowledge in the various operations/workshop
Familiar with tools and equipment used in mechanical fitting and alignment.
Excellent knowledge of Mechanical skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
