Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the finance function for Indonesia, contributing significantly to our South-East Asia region, which includes Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam.

  1. Manage end-to-end financial accounting for Indonesia, including month-end closing, journal adjustments, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
  2. Prepare and submit monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) and related schedules for Group reporting. Present results and clarify queries for business leaders.
  3. Review vendor invoices and expenses processed offshore, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and initiate vendor payments.
  4. Review client invoices and credit notes, focusing on values, collections, associated costs, and potential income accruals or deferrals.
  5. File sales tax returns (GST/SST/VAT/WHT) and collaborate with tax advisors for tax computations and filings.
  6. Coordinate with external auditors for audits, providing necessary information and explanations to ensure smooth, timely processes.
  7. Assist in preparing annual budgets, expense run rates, monthly P&L forecasts, timesheets, and payroll monitoring.
  8. Prepare weekly cash flow statements, aligning with business and credit control teams to execute strategic plans.
  9. Become the finance systems’ champion and a subject matter expert for SEA business teams. Perform other finance tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial statement preparation.
  • CPA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with SOX controls and Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced, matrix organizations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Bahasa is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to manage stakeholders.
  • Resilient with strong tenacity for challenging situations and deadlines.
  • Hands-on with attention to detail and eagerness to learn and improve.
