Job Summary

Provides leadership and direction to all Food and Beverage outlets and staff including Restaurants, In Room Dining, Services and Beverage outlets. Manages the daily activities and monitors the performance of the Food and Beverage management and service teams. Verifies that all outlet operational policies and procedures are maintained throughout the outlets. Ensures compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commissions guidelines. Assists the Director of Food and Beverage in developing and managing the strategic plan for the division, including budget administration, forecasting, inventory, and cost control. Manages the development of the Food and Beverage outlet management team and creates marketing and promotional opportunities to attract local clientele.

Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
Core Work Activities
Managing Food and Beverage Team
  • Provides leadership and direction to all Food and Beverage outlets and staff including Restaurants, In Room Dining, Café Services, and Beverage outlets.
  • Manages the daily activities and monitors the performance of the management and service teams.
  • Verifies adherence to operational policies and procedures across outlets.
  • Ensures compliance with HACCP, OSHA, and regional regulations.
  • Assists in strategic planning, budget management, forecasting, inventory, and cost control.
  • Develops the Food and Beverage management team.
  • Creates marketing and promotional strategies to increase local clientele.
  • Monitors outlet performance and maintains operational consistency.
  • Researches market trends to recommend product and service improvements.
  • Maintains knowledge of current food and beverage industry trends.
  • Ensures staff training in sanitation, food safety, and customer service.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
  • Evaluates employee performance and recommends promotions or changes.
  • Manages performance appraisals, career development, and training.
  • Monitors attendance and records absences/tardiness.
  • Supports supervisors in achieving development goals.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with corporate accounting procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
