Job description

Assistant Channel Manager - Modern Trade

Responsible for managing selected modern trade channels.

Develop and implement a medium-term plan for the area, including key customers and sub-channels such as minimarkets, supermarkets, and hypermarkets, aligned with company objectives.

Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges. Develop and execute corrective actions as necessary.

Forecast sales volume for customers and channels accurately.

Ensure successful launches of new products into modern trade channels.

Manage A&P activities from planning through execution and monitoring to meet sales targets efficiently.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to foster long-term partnerships.

Collaborate with distributor sales teams to ensure excellence in distribution expansion, product merchandising, on-shelf availability, and promotional activities.

Job requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant FMCG sales and marketing experience, preferably with leading MNC food companies.
  • Experience in modern trade channels as a Key Account Executive or similar role; experience working with distributors is preferred.
  • Initiative-taking potential, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
