A dynamic surf company in Bali is seeking an Art Director to lead creative strategies for two brands within the surfing community. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and creative execution, with a focus on building compelling brand identities and collaborating within a vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for surf culture and a proven track record in creative leadership.

We’re on the lookout for a visionary Art Director to shape and lead the creative direction of two dynamic brands in the surfing world:
(ASC)
Asia’s leading surf development company, building the foundation of surf culture, events, and talent across the region. We work with world-class athletes, surf federations, brands, and global partners to push our region of surfing to the next level.
Earth Island
A surf brand born in Bali and inspired by the soul of the Indonesian archipelago – a place where culture, nature, and surfing come together. We’re building a brand rooted in authenticity, community, and environmental respect.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an Art Director who is both a thinker and a doer, someone who can combine strategy with storytelling, and structure with spontaneity.
You will:
- Lead creative strategy across both brands: identity, tone, campaigns, content, and product.
- Develop and manage brand systems across platforms (social, web, retail, product, packaging, events, and partnerships).
- Create cohesion between culture and commerce, connecting Earth Island’s brand lifestyle with ASC’s deep community roots.
- Collaborate with internal and external creatives – including designers, photographers, filmmakers, athletes, and storytellers.
- Build a small but powerful creative team, or work with a hybrid model of freelancers/agencies.
- Push boundaries while keeping the spirit of surfing and Southeast Asia at the core.
Ideal Background
1. Proven experience in art direction, brand building, or creative leadership (preferably in lifestyle, surf, fashion, or culture).
2. Strong visual design and storytelling skills – from concept to execution.
3. Experience building or evolving a brand identity across multiple channels.
4. Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
5. Deep appreciation for surfing culture, with a global perspective and local sensitivity.
You will be based in Bali.
