Area Sales Manager for Bandar Lampung (Based in Bandar Lampung)

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any major with a minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in area sales/commercial, especially in OTC/Pharmaceutical industry and/or FMCG.
  2. Strong experience in managing distributor branches and sales force teams.
  3. Result-driven with a strong ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  4. Able to build and lead a team.
  5. Dynamic and agile personality.
  6. Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to communicate in written and spoken English and Bahasa.
  8. Willing to be placed anywhere or relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for achieving sales targets/performance by proper utilization of allocated resources and investments, as well as for market development, distribution, and product penetration in respective areas.
  2. Build, develop, and strengthen distribution infrastructure, including defining clear sales targets (both value and volume), monitoring sales performance, and determining sales force headcount requirements in each distributor branch.
  3. Achieve distribution width/coverage by expanding to new geographies and new customer opportunities within dedicated areas.
  4. Build strong partnerships with potential customers and key stakeholders in respective areas, including maintaining mutual collaboration with outlets (Medical/Drug stores, PBF/Wholesaler, Midwives/IBI, Local Key Account, and Provision/General Trade Stores).
  5. Close monitoring and relationship management with distributors and their manpower, ensuring full quality.
  6. Own and drive all key sales initiatives originated by Region and Head Offices, ensuring all trade or consumer programs are shared and implemented properly in each distributor branch.
  7. Manage all direct reports (DKT Sales Field Force) and distributor’s sales force team, including setting up sales targets for each field team, reviewing and monitoring field team Fix Journey Plan (FJP) to improve coverage performance, and enhancing team capabilities including product knowledge presentation and role play to key customers.
  8. Ensure and manage stock adequacy for monthly promotions, maintain service level performance to customers for new product launches through proper sales forecasting.
  9. Conduct regular mentoring and coaching for the area sales team through joint visits to ensure team understanding and collect market insights from customers and shoppers.
  10. Ensure compliance of all field sales team members and distributors with the company’s sales system and processes, following ethical business practices.
