Area Manager -Food Service- Surabaya, East Java

About The Role

As an Area Manager for Food Services (FS) and HoReCa in Surabaya - East Java Region, you will be responsible for driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring market growth in the Food Services (Industrial & Operator) and HoReCa sectors. You will implement best practices in FMCG to optimize sales strategies, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers, especially in Food Services (Industrial & Operator) and HoReCa.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their requirements.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and targeted outreach.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and provide status reports.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, market trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products/services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices in FMCG for Food Services and HoReCa, including pricing strategies, trade promotions, and route-to-market optimization.
  • Continuously improve through feedback and performance analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative or area manager in the FMCG industry, specifically in Food Services and HoReCa.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with BRM and CRM practices.
  • Ability to build productive business relationships and manage key accounts.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver tailored presentations based on audience needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent.
