Application Support Engineer (Apache Tomcat, NginX, Weblogic)

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. The role involves understanding system design, investigating problems, identifying root causes, and defining solutions for 2nd level support.

Responsibilities include attending to customer support requests related to application issues, diagnosing problems across various areas such as operating systems, application servers, networks, databases, and security, and troubleshooting to resolve issues effectively.

You will ensure smooth workflow processes and meet service level commitments, create technical documentation, and communicate with customers regarding application deployment and support. Collaboration with the Software Product Team (3rd level) on reported problems and software enhancements is also required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with JSP, ASP, MSSQL, Web Server, Technologies, and e-Commerce is highly encouraged
  • Knowledge of operating systems, networking, troubleshooting, and firewall technologies
  • Understanding of OSI model and SFTP server-client setup
  • Experience configuring web and application servers is an advantage
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-initiative, ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel overseas
  • Good communication skills in English
