Application Support Engineer (Apache Tomcat, NginX, Weblogic)

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer responsible for system design understanding, problem investigation, root cause analysis, and providing solutions for 2nd level support.

The role involves attending to customer support requests related to application issues, diagnosing problems across various areas including operating systems, application servers, networks, databases, and security, and troubleshooting to identify effective solutions.

You will ensure smooth workflow processes and meet service level commitments, create technical documentation, and communicate with customers regarding application deployment and support.

Collaborating closely with the Software Product Team (3rd level) on reported issues or enhancements is essential.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with JSP, ASP, MSSQL, Web Servers, and e-Commerce technologies
  • Understanding of operating systems, networking, troubleshooting, and firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of OSI model and SFTP server-client configurations
  • Experience configuring web and application servers is an advantage
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and proactive work attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Willingness to travel overseas for assignments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

The position is based in Central Jakarta (near St. Sudirman).
