Job description

The Application Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical and commercial support for the sales team, particularly within the Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, and Pipe Fittings industries. This position requires a strong understanding of valve and instrument products, as well as a deep knowledge of industry standards. Responsibilities include technical and commercial quotation preparation, supplier evaluation, stock monitoring, and documentation in SAP and Salesforce.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and commercial support for sales, including preparing quotations, conducting technical clarifications, and delivering product presentations.
• Prepare quotations for Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, and Pipe Fitting customers, starting from FEED, budgetary, bidding, and firm quotes.
• Identify inquiries, understand competitor products, and offer competitive solutions based on customer needs.
• Negotiate and process orders with principals.
• Monitor outstanding quotations and analyze to improve competitiveness.
• Work closely with the sales team and visit customers as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Physics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in product selection, technical sales, or application engineering.
• Good knowledge of valve products and components, including standards such as ANSI, ASME, ISO, DIN, API.
• Proficiency in software applications: Sizing, CRM, SAP.
• Quick learner with good negotiation and presentation skills.
• Familiar with project documentation requirements.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication and written correspondence skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
