• Translate analytics findings into actionable business recommendations.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Analytics professional to support a major banking analytics engagement in Jakarta. The role will focus on using business intelligence, descriptive/predictive analytics, customer segmentation, benchmarking, rule-based modelling, and performance tracking to generate actionable insights from large datasets.

Candidates with prior experience in consumer banking, credit cards, debit cards, or banking analytics are strongly preferred, particularly those with a good understanding of credit/debit card data structures, parameters, metrics, and performance measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct data and analytics analysis using client and relevant Mastercard data.
• Develop customer segmentation, benchmarking, rule-based modelling, and performance tracking.
• Analyse large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Review analytics deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion.
• Support the development of project deliverables and analytical outputs.
• Support implementation of agreed plans and mitigation actions discussed through weekly cadence and steering committee meetings.
• Work closely with client and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress across workstreams.
• Prepare materials and analytical updates for weekly progress reviews and steering committee meetings.
• Manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Work independently while driving progress with banking clients.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics, or Prescriptive Analytics.
• Strong experience analysing large datasets and developing actionable business insights.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as SQL or Python or R or SAS, or similar.
• Experience in database structures, data management, and analytics.
• Strong understanding of metrics, measurements, benchmarking, and performance analysis.
• Banking industry experience is required, preferably within Consumer Banking.
• Credit Card / Debit Card analytics experience is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of credit/debit card data structures and parameters.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to independently manage deliverables and work directly with banking clients.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Native Indonesian language proficiency and good English communication skills.
• Must be based in Jakarta and willing to work on-site at the client's location.

Preferred Background

Priority will be given to candidates with current or previous experience in major banks, particularly:

• Citibank
• DBS
• HSBC

Candidates from other established banking institutions with strong consumer banking / credit or debit card analytics experience will also be considered.
