A leading mining company in Indonesia is seeking a skilled professional to oversee external maintenance and repair work at the Batu Hijau mine. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. The role involves coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and developing maintenance strategies to optimize operations. Responsible for planning and coordinating all external maintenance and repair work for the mine
Plan and schedule all external maintenance and repair work for the mine, including coordinating with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Work with internal maintenance teams to ensure data completion & validity of component that are going to be rebuild at external vendors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
Ensure that all external maintenance work complies with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor external vendor performance and provide feedback to vendors to improve performance and reduce costs.
Manage external vendor contracts and agreements to ensure that they are up to date and reflect the needs of the mine.
Provide regular reports on component external rebuild work progress to the Maintenance Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures, including identifying new vendors or contractors that could provide better value for money.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mining, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in mine maintenance or a related field; preferable has experience in planning and coordinating external maintenance and repair work
Experience in managing vendor contracts and agreements
Familiar with software SAP, AMT or other ERP system will be an advantage
Strong understanding of relevant safety and environmental regulations
Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate.
