Job summary

CV. Bangja Teknologi Informasi seeks an AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain AI systems supporting company operations. You will create an AI strategy and architecture, integrating AI with ERP and internal apps, while building automation to optimize sales orders and margins.

You will deploy and manage AI models on internal servers and cloud services, ensuring data stays within the company, and train staff to use new AI tools effectively.

Qualifications

• BSc in informatics/CS or related field.
• 5+ years in AI/ML or software engineering with at least 3 years leading AI in production.
• Solid understanding of AI fundamentals including ML, DL, NLP, CV and generative AI.
• Experience selecting, fine-tuning and evaluating AI models (commercial/open-source).
• Experience running AI on internal servers and cloud services; hardware planning.
• Ability to learn new software quickly via APIs.
• Proven design and leadership from concept to production.
• Proficient in Python, databases, and server administration.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia; read English tech docs.

Job description

We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, build and maintain artificial intelligence systems that support the company's operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company's AI strategy and roadmap, including prioritizing implementations by business impact.
• Design the company's AI system architecture, including access control and data separation between business units.
• Integrate AI with the company's systems and applications, such as ERP, messaging apps, email and internal documents.
• Develop business process automation, including sales order creation, order monitoring and margin monitoring.
• Plan and set up server infrastructure, including GPUs, to run AI models internally so that confidential data does not leave the company.
• Build question-and-answer systems based on internal documents such as SOPs and meeting minutes.
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, models and vendors, including managing operating costs.
• Measure the effectiveness of each AI system in terms of time and cost savings.
• Monitor, maintain and document all systems developed.
• Provide training and support to employees in the use of AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI/Machine Learning or software engineering, including at least 3 years handling AI projects in operational use.
• Comprehensive understanding of AI fundamentals, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, speech recognition and generative AI.
• Experience selecting, adapting (fine-tuning) and evaluating different types of AI models, both commercial and open-source.
• Experience running AI models on internal servers and cloud services, including specifying the hardware required.
• Ability to learn and integrate new software and systems quickly through APIs.
• Proven experience designing and leading system development from design through to production.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for AI (such as Python), databases and server administration.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and the ability to read technical documentation in English.
• Willing to work in Surabaya.

Preferred

• Experience integrating ERP systems and business applications.
• Experience in MLOps, such as model deployment, monitoring and versioning.
• Publications, certifications or open-source contributions in AI.
• Background in distribution, manufacturing or F&B companies.
