At Eni, we are looking for an Agroforestry Coordinator within PT Eni Natural Energies Indonesia in Jakarta. You will be responsible for coordinating agroforestry and crop production activities for energy crops.

Main Responsibilities

With reference to the implementation of the company’s agri-feedstock program targeting the farming of crops on degraded land or intermediate crops for biofuel production:

  • Conduct analysis of local agricultural contexts in the country, focusing on the implementation of energy crops in agroforestry systems and perennial crop plantations.
  • Prepare agricultural development plans with production targets, timelines and actions to achieve and secure the raw material supply chain at the Agri-feedstock plant.
  • Coordinate all aspects of agricultural production for the energy oil crop chain, including regulatory aspects, scouting potential suppliers, sustainability certification, defining the agricultural model, contractualization, planning, and monitoring of agricultural operations.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor a comprehensive database for farmers, agroforestry operators, plantations, suppliers to the agri-business industry and other potential counterparties relevant to the company’s agri-feedstock program.
  • Contribute to managing the ISCC EU certification process and other sustainability, human rights, and technical compliance certifications within the raw materials supply chain.
  • Work with logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure certified inputs are properly managed according to certification requirements.
  • Define the scope of work for agricultural produce supply contracts, conduct technical evaluations of received offers and coordinate post-award operational activities.
  • Support other company initiatives (environmental awareness, communication campaigns, local content, etc.) that contribute to agricultural development as requested.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

  • Employees must comply with Company Policies, HSE Integrated Management System and Procedures, report all incidents, motivate colleagues to follow HSE rules, participate in HSE initiatives, ensure contractor compliance with HSE standards, and proactively support the company’s HSE objectives.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Natural Sciences or relevant qualifications in any related field.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the vegetable oil or biofuels sector.
  • Experience in agricultural and agroforestry development projects.
  • Understanding of agro-industrial or agroforestry supply chains for energy production.
  • Familiarity with vegetable oil supply chains, including storage and quality standards.
  • Ability to design and manage large-scale agricultural and agroforestry interventions.
  • Knowledge of agricultural and agroforestry production systems, with particular reference to contract farming mechanisms and/or agro-industrial initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Stakeholder relations skills, with particular reference to local communities.
  • A network of relevant contacts to assist in job performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
