About the role

As an Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager at PT SCG Barito Logistics, you will play a crucial role in the company's financial operations and compliance. This full‑time position is based in our West Jakarta, Jakarta Raya office, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of the business.

What you'll be doing
  • Verify Daily Transactions: Review daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) postings in SAP, ensuring correct GL accounts, cost centers, and tax codes.
  • Process Expense Claims: Check and process all employee expense reimbursements, including freight‑related petty cash.
  • Reconcile Freight Accounts: Match AR and AP entries specifically for freight forwarding activities and reimbursements.
  • Analyze P&L Statement: Conduct monthly reviews of the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, investigating any abnormal movements.
  • Manage Accruals: Ensure the completeness of all monthly accruals, including corporate income tax.
  • Review Balance Sheet: Monitor the Balance Sheet monthly to ensure all accounts are correctly stated and reclassified where necessary.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Guarantee that revenue and cost data are transferred accurately and punctually from the master system into SAP.
  • Manage Withholding Tax: Oversee the timely collection of Withholding Tax (WHT) certificates from customers to use as tax credits.
  • Monitor VAT Reporting: Track VAT Out records in SAP based on revenue and ensure timely reporting on the tax dashboard.
  • Coordinate External Audits: Manage the external audit process by providing all requested data, supporting documents, and transaction justifications to auditors (The Big 4).
  • Perform Year‑End Reconciliations: Reconcile year‑end sales and AR balances with both related and third‑party customers for the audit.
  • Prepare Audit Financials: Create pre‑audit trial balances, track audit adjustments, and reconcile commercial versus fiscal financial reports.
  • Handle Tax Office Audits: Manage tax refund or audit processes by reconciling bank account funds and responding to Tax Office inquiries.
  • Prepare Transfer Pricing Documents: Coordinate with consultants to prepare annual Transfer Pricing documentation by verifying all related‑party transactions.
  • Compile Annual Budget: Gather budget proposals from each department and compile them into a consolidated annual budget for management review.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting from a reputable university with min GPA 3.00.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal).
  • A minimum of 8‑10 years of progressive experience in accounting and tax, with at least 3‑4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Possess a Tax Brevet A, B.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian financial reporting standards (PSAK) and tax regulations.
  • Proven experience managing tax audits and dealing directly with the Indonesian Tax Office (DJP).
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems is essential, with a strong preference for SAP.
  • Proficiency with Indonesian tax applications such as e‑Faktur, e‑Bupot, and DJP Online.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
