Job summary

PT Merdeka Copper Gold requires an Accounting Officer to ensure accurate monthly closings, timely financial recording and preparation of management and financial reports in line with applicable standards.

You will support audit processes, coordinate with Head Office and site operations, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure reliable financial information for decision-making. Placement at Head Office, Jakarta, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Public Accounting Firm (KAP).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and applicable accounting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Able to work independently, as part of a team and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Willing to be placed at our Head Office, Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly closing activities accurately and within established deadlines.
• Ensure all financial transactions, costs, and journal entries are properly recorded in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare monthly management reports, quarterly reports, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounting records and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders at Head Office and Site operations to support monthly closing processes and project-related accounting activities.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation to facilitate successful audit completion.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting processes and financial reporting.
