We’re Hiring an Accounting Officer!
We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Officer to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate invoice processing, and uphold financial compliance standards. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our accounts payable processes, supporting audit readiness, and collaborating across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and has a strong grasp of tax regulations, particularly in the oil & gas industry.
Work Location: Palembang Site
Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Accounting Officer, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Hold Brevet A & B certification
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial compliance
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Preferably domiciled in or willing to relocate to Palembang
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accurate invoice processing and expense review
- Ensure invoice coding aligns with correct general ledger accounts
- Handle all service invoices (import/domestic), including manpower and contractor-related payments
- Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA), SOPs, and internal policies
- Process timely payments and manage vendor relationships to avoid penalties and capture early payment discounts
- Reconcile payment batches with bank statements and AP sub-ledgers with the general ledger
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare aging reports, outstanding liabilities analysis, and ensure documentation readiness for internal/external audits
- Collaborate with tax, procurement, warehouse, and other internal functions to support accounting operations
- Ensure accurate tax withholdings and compliance with all accounting-related regulations
- Monitor vendor advances and liabilities to ensure clean and accurate books
