Job description

PT Global Papua Abadi is an integrated sugar industry business entity included in the National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional) for the Merauke food and energy development area. The company operates in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province, covering an area of approximately 30,000 hectares. This initiative supports the Government’s sugar self-sufficiency program, aiming to realize sugar and bioethanol self-sufficiency within the framework of Food and Energy Security.

Accounting Officer
Head Office

Direct Report to: Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and process financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Reconcile bank statements and perform month-end and year-end closings.
  3. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other analyses.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate and timely financial information.
  6. Perform ad-hoc financial and accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the financial services or related industry.
  3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and best practices.
  4. Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
