Overview

Prepare and oversee financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the company. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with local accounting standards and regulations. Monitor cash flow and ensure the company’s financial health by analyzing revenue, expenses, and profitability. Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for various departments, including trucking, warehouse, and forwarding operations. Monitor budget adherence and provide periodic reviews to department heads on budget variances, recommending corrective actions as needed. Track and control operating costs, ensuring the company remains efficient and cost-effective in its logistics operations. Review and optimize expenses related to transportation, warehousing, and freight forwarding, finding opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and the collection of payments from customers. Monitor outstanding accounts and manage relationships with customers and vendors to ensure smooth financial transactions.

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is highly beneficial, as it provides familiarity with industry-specific financial processes and challenges.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting in a complex operational environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or industry-specific systems like TMS, WMS).
  • Ability to perform complex financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis using Excel.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, including VAT, income tax, and other local regulations.
  • Understanding of local and international financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the logistics and transportation industry.
  • Familiarity with audit procedures and the ability to prepare for and coordinate audits (internal and external).
  • Experienced in handling large and complex data.
