Job description

To manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with tax and regulatory standards, and support the financial health of the logistics company through strong cost control, budget management, and financial analysis.

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

Supervise day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and fixed assets.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., PSAK/IFRS).

Review and validate journal entries and reconciliations.

2. Cost Control & Analysis

Monitor and analyze operational costs such as transport, warehouse, customs, and 3PL services.

Provide insights on cost variance, profitability by route/customer/warehouse, and margin analysis.

Work closely with operations to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial planning.

3. Tax Compliance & Audit Support

Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax reports (VAT, PPh, etc.) in compliance with local regulations.

Liaise with external and internal auditors; support the audit process by providing required documentation.

Ensure adherence to financial and accounting policies.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

Support the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.

Monitor budget implementation and highlight significant deviations.

5. Team Management & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants.

Review team performance and identify training needs.

6. System & Process Improvement

Optimize the use of ERP/accounting systems for better financial control and reporting.

Recommend and implement process improvements in accounting and finance operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry preferred.

Strong knowledge of local tax regulations and accounting standards.

Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Accurate).

Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and leadership skills.
