Summary Of The Job:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant Associate to join our finance team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in accounting. The Junior Accountant Associate will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Prepare journal entries, and ensure proper documentation.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Bank Reconciliations:
- Make journal entries on the bank transactions and make reconciliation if there were any discrepancies between bank statements and bank balance per TB.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Support the preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Data Entry and Analysis:
- Input financial data into accounting systems accurately and efficiently.
Other Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
- Assist with special projects and assignments as required.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- No prior experience required, but internships or relevant coursework in accounting are advantageous.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Xero) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
