We’re hiring an Accounting Clerk to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily compiling and reporting of all lodging, food and beverage, and transportation revenues and receipts generated daily at the Grand Canyon South Rim.

The Details:
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
  • Pay: $17.39 per hour
  • Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Compile and input data into Excel spreadsheets of daily revenues and receipts from all non-retail operating units.
  • Distribute food & beverage backup and reports to the Food and Beverage Auditor.
  • Distribute cashier over/short backup to the Auditor Specialist.
  • Print and distribute daily reports to the Assistant Controller.
  • Maintain a month-to-date file of all recorded sales and cash data for the general ledger.
  • Input daily advance deposit data.
  • Maintain a filing system of daily night audit reports and backup.
  • Maintain daily information on Maswik meals for reporting to Park Services.
  • Pick up daily deposits from operating units with Fire & Safety when needed.
  • Update and revise the sales and cash desk policy and procedures manual as needed.
  • Serve as back-up for daily credit card reporting.
  • Participate in annual retail inventories.
  • Develop and present matters requiring approval or decisions to the Assistant Controller.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three (3) years prior accounting experience, preferably in income auditing.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to use ten-key by touch.
  • Good verbal and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information strictly.
  • Ability to lift report binders and boxes up to 40 lbs.
