Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain costing ledgers for jobs undertaken by the company, including updating project record books upon receiving job activity and billing details.
  2. Handle project costing processes.
  3. Execute plan cost uploads and convert them into budgets for projects upon request from the Commercial Department.
  4. Liaise and follow up with the Commercial Department on project matters.
  5. Prepare costing audit schedules.
  6. Monitor warranty provisions and their utilization.
  7. Coordinate with the Commercial Department (SB) on Interco PO matters.
  8. Maintain and schedule the transfer of revenue projects to TECO and CLOSED status as part of administrative processes to tighten project status management.
  9. Prepare costing journals and allocate expenses.
  10. Ensure all POC % updates, plan costs, and sales orders are completed within the given timeframe.
  11. Consolidate group project monthly performance reports, ensuring revenue and costs are accurately reflected in the Profit and Loss Account.
  12. Prepare monthly shipyard performance reports.
  13. Generate RA and proceed with RA settlement postings upon final review by the Accounts Officer (Costing).
  14. Handle external audit issues.
  15. Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.
  16. Follow safety rules and regulations as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy of the yard.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Accountancy, CPA, or ACCA qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel (internal and external).
  • Proactive, independent, and meticulous with attention to detail and figures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities to ensure policy compliance and adherence to procedures.
  • Practical and hands-on with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards (FRS).
  • Experience liaising with external auditors on accounting and financial matters.
