About the Role

The Account Manager (AM) will manage a smaller portfolio of high-revenue, high-growth SMB merchants. Their main responsibility is to ensure that merchants grow their business on the GoFood platform and increase adoption of in-app features aligned with their business needs. They should understand merchant needs and provide appropriate advice.

What Will You Do

  1. Actively engage with leads provided through Motion Standard and Virtual Engagement.
  2. Regularly provide feedback to merchants by conducting Business Reviews via Report modules, and actively promote promos and ads from their assigned leads.
  3. Identify and resolve problems faced by merchants, including troubleshooting, documenting changes, or adding new outlets, entities, or brands. Focus on growing merchants within the portfolio as future growth drivers.
  4. Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  5. Expand merchant base through onboarding and canvassing in assigned areas.
  6. Support city-focused projects such as Merchant Partnership and Assortment.
  7. Ensure timely submission and administration of advertisements, promotions, agreement changes, and additional outlets. Handle merchant complaints and coordinate with ASM and relevant PIC for assistance.
  8. Attend training sessions regularly, socialize new products, and develop relevant skills.

What Will You Need

  1. At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in industries such as FMCG, Telecommunications, Banking, or Tech companies. Experience in the assigned region (>1 year) with a strong network and regional knowledge.
  2. Business acumen with a good understanding of markets, customers, and competitors.
  3. Existing relationships or the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with key partners.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Fact-based and data-oriented, capable of interpreting data to make practical decisions.
  6. Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  7. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  8. Willing to be placed anywhere within Gojek’s operational areas.

About the Team

The AM will work as part of a district-based team, collaborating closely with the Merchant Engagement and Sales Support teams. Regular visits to assigned merchants are expected to observe ground realities and provide necessary advice to increase transactions over time.
