IFF is a global leader in Food Ingredients and Flavors, constantly seeking new challenges and developing innovative solutions. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us as an Account Manager based in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Your Focus

As an Account Manager, you will drive growth and enhance IFF’s reputation by maintaining effective communication with customers and aligning local needs with global objectives. Your responsibilities include promoting IFF products, developing strong business partnerships, and adhering to IFF’s core values.

How You Will Contribute
  • Grow Taste business within dedicated accounts.
  • Understand specific market and customer ecosystems, including activities, strategies, brands, markets, and consumers from various sources.
  • Develop multi-level, cross-functional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Lead or contribute to commercial negotiations such as core listings, pricing, payment terms, rebates, and supply contracts.
  • Stay updated on customer regulatory requirements and input data into relevant systems.
  • Lead projects through effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across functions.
  • Set and achieve commercial targets aligned with strategic plans, including sales, gross profit, market share, and new wins.
  • Influence customer briefings to benefit IFF.
  • Organize formal project kick-offs, define action plans, and update project management tools.
  • Coordinate with global, regional, and category stakeholders on strategies and deliverables.
  • Promote appropriate IFF product solutions aligned with customer briefs.
  • Communicate project results and conduct reviews of wins and losses.
  • Maintain and grow accounts while actively seeking new profitable business opportunities.
  • Forecast sales accurately and update relevant tools to reflect performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead internal and external teams to secure project wins.
What You Will Need To Be Successful

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food and Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in sales, sales service, product development, or marketing, preferably in flavors or ingredients industries.
  • Customer-centric with B2B management experience.
  • Analytical skills with an understanding of financial concepts like pricing, margins, and forecasting.
  • Strong interest in product development, consumer insights, and market trends.
  • Team player with strategic thinking, a positive mindset, and leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in business English and the ability to work effectively across cultures.
