Area Business Development Manager
The ABDM role focuses on promoting and selling insurance products through a bank's branch network within a specific geographic area.
Position Responsibilities:
- Sales Target Achievement: Achieve and exceed sales targets for insurance products within the assigned area. Develop and implement action plans to improve sales performance and increase market penetration.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with bank branch staff, including branch managers. Conduct regular visits to branches to support, train, and motivate bank personnel.
- Product Promotion: Promote insurance products to bank customers by leveraging the bank's existing customer base and networks. Organize and conduct product training sessions for bank staff to enhance their knowledge and sales skills.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and business development initiatives.
- Customer Service: Ensure high customer satisfaction by providing prompt and efficient service. Address inquiries and resolve issues related to insurance products and services.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback. Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance and market conditions.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Uphold ethical standards in all interactions with customers and partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in bancassurance, insurance, or banking sectors.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and financial services industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple branches.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to market changes.
- Willingness to travel within the area.
