Garden House Waldorf School is currently seeking a dedicated Class Teacher for the upcoming academic year 2027/28. We are in search of a compassionate, skilled, and intellectually adept individual to become a valued member of our school community. The ideal candidate should plan to arrive in Hong Kong prior to the conclusion of the 2026/27 school year in June 2027 to allow ample time for acclimatization to the school environment and to establish connections with both parents and students.

Established in September 2021, Garden House Waldorf School is recognised by Friends of Waldorf Education and listed on the Waldorf World List. The school evolved from Garden House Waldorf Kindergarten, in operation since 2008 and acknowledged by IASWECE and the China Waldorf Early Childhood Forum as a model Waldorf kindergarten.

Job Description

The Class teacher assumes responsibility for delivering the Class curriculum across all subjects, alongside fostering strong partnerships with parents and colleagues. It is imperative that our teachers provide developmentally appropriate instruction, incorporating music, movement, art, and academic skill development.

Requirement

• Eager for new experiences and willing to relocate to Hong Kong with a commitment to long-term engagement with students, the community, and the school.
• Creative, adaptable to change, energetic, passionate about children and Waldorf education, empathetic, and intrigued by Chinese culture.
• Committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
• A native English speaker.

Qualifications

• Waldorf Teaching Certification with a minimum of 3 years' experience leading a class.
• Enthusiasm, patience, receptiveness to learning, support for colleagues and extensive experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering approachability with students, parents, and colleagues.
