Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is assisting a global financial services group in Hong Kong to hire a senior Associate/VP for the Front Office Risk team. The role focuses on daily risk analysis, PnL monitoring, and risk governance across Global Markets and associated desks.

The candidate will partner with Sales, Traders and Risk functions to identify and mitigate risks, support regulatory projects, and contribute to strategy discussions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a Trading or Risk Management role in an Investment Bank or financial institution.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Risk function with interaction with Sales, Traders and desk heads.
• Proven knowledge of financial market products, trading systems, counterparty and market risk, and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Support Daily Monitoring of Financial Risks and PnL across AEJ fronts with emphasis on Credit and Equity desks.
• Collaborate with Sales, Traders, Risk and other functions to identify, measure, monitor and escalate risks to Senior Management.
• Manage stop-loss policies and work with traders on risk reductions.
• Analyze desk-level risks, market flows and trading strategies to inform GM PnL impact.
• Identify new potential risks based on macro developments and product flows.
• Ensure risks are identified, assessed and mitigated in line with governance principles.
• Contribute to special projects the team handles.
