Job summary

GF Securities (Hong Kong) is seeking a senior credit researcher to conduct comprehensive research and strategy formulation on global IG/HY USD credits, with emphasis on Greater China and other major markets. The role requires deep offshore market knowledge and strong credit analysis skills.

The candidate will evaluate strategies, participate in roadshows, and support external client presentations, with exposure to model portfolios and performance attribution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
• Strong understanding of offshore credit market ecosystem including sell-side (syndicate, credit sales, trading, research) and buy-side (asset managers) dynamics.
• 5 years of investment or research experience in offshore macro and credit markets.
• Proficiency in credit analysis and credit rating methodologies; experience covering non-China USD credit is mandatory.
• Mandarin speaker with professional English proficiency for communicating with international sell-side banks and non-China companies.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg AIM (trade booking and PORT), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit research and formulate strategies on global IG/ HY USD credits across multiple regions and sectors, with a focus on Greater China, DM countries, and the financial sector;
• Evaluate credit strategy and relative value on USD credits across Asia, EM, and DM, as well as credit spreads across currencies. Experience in non-financial corporate subordinated debt, MBS, and rates is highly preferred;
• Execute daily trading and booking across various accounts, focusing primarily on cash bonds and repo, and handling convertible bonds or future contracts upon request;
• Participate in company roadshows, deliver external client presentations, perform model portfolio construction and back-testing, and conduct account/fund performance attribution analysis.
