Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. in Hong Kong seeks an accomplished investment professional to join the Asia Absolute Return team. You will source, evaluate and allocate to hedge fund managers across Asia, coordinating with global strategy groups and client-facing teams.

Responsibilities include due diligence, market views, and translating insights into presentations for clients, while mentoring junior colleagues and expanding your cross-border network.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years hedge fund industry experience, Asia-focused preferred.
• Direct investment or research experience in quantitative, macro and equity strategies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and due diligence on prospective hedge fund investments in Asia with global strategy teams.
• Developing views on key market opportunities and themes in Asia.
• Partnering with Portfolio Strategy Group to support Asia-based clients.
• Translating investment views into presentations and client-facing content.
• Monitoring existing hedge fund relationships and portfolio exposures.
• Building a personal network to source new investments.
• Working with managers to source, diligence and underwrite co-investment opportunities.
• Training and mentoring junior team members.
