Job summary

Global Executive Consultants Limited is seeking a senior ORM professional for a leading banking group in Hong Kong. The role focuses on driving an effective Operational Risk Management Framework, BCP, and risk reporting.

You will lead ORM policies, monitor KRIs and stress testing, participate in ORM committees, and liaise with business units; requires 10–12 years in ORM in banking and fluency in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years’ experience in Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity Management in Banking
• Strong knowledge of HKMA and Basel requirements
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement an ORM framework and monitoring plans
• Lead ORM events, BCP development, KRI monitoring, and reporting
• Develop and implement ORM policies and guidelines
• Identify and design risk assessment tools and controls
• Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls
• Monitor risk tools including KRIs and stress testing
• Analyze operational risks and prepare management reports
• Set ORM policies and training for business growth
• Participate in Bank ORM committees

Our client, a Leading Banking Group is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement an effective Operational Risk Management Framework, design risk assessment tools, control mechanism and monitoring plans
• Manage and lead Operational Risk Event, Development of Business Continuity Management, Monitoring of Key Risk Indicator, Risk and Control Self-assessment, identification, and reporting issues
• Lead development and implementation of ORM policies, methodologies and guidelines on identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting issues for the Bank
• Identify and design risk assessment tools, control mechanism and monitoring plans
• Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls and effectiveness of the risk identification and assessment mechanism
• Monitor risk management tools including key risk indicators and stress testing
• Analyze operational risks and prepare management reports
• Set up ORM risk policies and strategies / review training programs for business growth
• Participate in the Bank’s committees for ORM projects

Requirements

• University degree holder in Risk Management / Finance / Business
• 10 – 12 years’ experience in Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity Management in Banking Sector is a MUST
• Good understanding of banking policies and regulations related Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity Management
• Strong skills sets in Operational Risk Management policies and procedures under HKMA and Basel Requirements
• Self-initiative, independent with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to exercise judgment, work under pressure and liaise effectively with the business and supporting units
• Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English including Cantonese and Putonghua
