Qualifications

  • Candidates with a background in finance, sales and trading, research, journalism with understanding of Stock Connect are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
  • Candidates with managerial experience are highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of HK securities / Stock Connect / derivatives market, including market structure, market dynamics, and recent market development themes.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee HKEX’s strategic initiatives including Hong Kong securities / derivatives market structure and Stock Connect related projects to bolster liquidity and uphold market integrity in alignment with strategic goals of the company and regulatory mandates.
  • Market Analysis: Assess the evolving global market landscape, anticipate regulatory shifts, and craft strategies to meet the dynamic needs of market participants.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and nurture relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including IT teams, Exchange Participants, regulators, mainland counterparts, and industry bodies, ensuring seamless communication, feedback, and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Drive project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, established processes, and accountability across divisions.
  • People Leadership: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.

Job Summary

The successful incumbent will work on the business side of Trading Department, supporting and delivering various HKEX initiatives in the Hong Kong securities / Stock Connect / derivatives market, particularly in microstructure development and relevant projects.
