Job summary

Hong Kong International School is seeking an Upper Primary Educational Assistant (Learning Spaces) to support instructional activities and supervision across learning spaces. The role involves co-teaching, assisting with materials, and coordinating with teachers on lesson planning and student activities.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of EA experience, Form 6 or higher, and a teaching certification is a plus. Strong English skills and tech proficiency with Google Suite and SIS are important.

Qualifications

• Form 6 and related post-secondary education.
• Teaching certificate or enrollment in a teaching certification program preferred.
• First Aid certification/training.
• 2 years as an Educational Assistant.
• Hands‑on experience in upper primary classroom is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students in learning spaces on an individual, small‑group, or whole‑class basis.
• Teach small group activities (science, design challenges, etc.).
• Supervise students during recess, transitions, assemblies, and field trips.
• Assist with lesson materials, equipment, and learning resources.
• Communicate with parents in coordination with teachers as needed.
• Help plan and run events and manage bookings for learning spaces.
• Substitute for teachers when needed and participate in meetings and PD.
