Job summary

Swing Consulting Ltd. is seeking a UAT Tester to support a government project in Hong Kong. The role focuses on analyzing requirements, drafting comprehensive test cases, and executing manual tests to identify defects.

You will log issues in Jira or GitLab and work with the team to verify fixes and re-test. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 1 year of QA testing experience, and strong knowledge of QA methodologies.

Overview

SW9012 | 08 Jul 2026 — UAT Tester (Government, 16-18K).

Responsibilities

• Analyze system specifications, user stories, and technical design documents to understand system logic and business requirements.


• Design, draft, and maintain detailed, structured, and easy-to-follow test cases, test scenarios, and test data.


• Execute manual test cases diligently to identify software defects, edge cases, and UI/UX inconsistencies.


• Log, track, and manage defects in the issue-tracking system (e.g., Jira) by providing clear steps to reproduce, actual vs. expected results, and relevant logs or screenshots.


• Collaborate closely with supervisors to verify bug fixes and ensure smooth re-testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in QA testing.


• Strong fundamental knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools.


• Proficiency with project management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab).


• Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.


• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, XPath, JSON) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.


• Fluent written and spoken English and Cantonese.
