China Re Asset Management (Hong Kong) Company Limited seeks a mid-level treasury and compliance professional to oversee statutory matters for the group’s subsidiaries and coordinate cross-border treasury operations. The role includes bank liaison, account management, and regulatory filings to ensure ongoing legality.
The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or higher, 2+ years in treasury/AML, and professional credentials such as CPA/ACCA/HKICPA.
1. Ongoing Compliance and Entity Maintenance: Oversee and manage statutory matters for the Group’s subsidiaries, including annual inspections/filings, record filings, changes of directors/supervisors, and changes of registered address, so as to ensure that all subsidiaries remain legally valid and ongoing and to avoid circumstances such as license revocation, deregistration, or abnormal operations that could affect the Group’s ability to include them in consolidated financial statements.
2. Participation in Establishment of New Entities: Participate in the full process of establishing new companies in mainland China, Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, and other jurisdictions.
II. Treasury Operations and Management
1. Treasury Operations Monitoring: Understand and monitor the treasury operations of each Group company, including execution of funding plans, cash flow forecasting, account balance management, and deposit-loan matching, to ensure that each subsidiary has sufficient funds for daily payments and complies with regulatory indicators.
2. Cross-border Treasury Management: Responsible for cross-border fund transfers, cash pooling, and settlement for offshore subsidiaries; design compliant fund repatriation routes; and improve the Group’s overall efficiency in fund utilization.
III. Liaison with Banks and Financial Institutions
1. Bank Relationship Maintenance: Establish and maintain good business relationships with partner banks, including daily business communication, maintenance of credit lines, and expansion of financing channels.
2. Account and Settlement Management: Establish and manage a full-lifecycle system for onshore and offshore bank accounts; responsible for bank-enterprise direct connection authorization and operations, fund clearing, large-value cross-border payments, and other settlement matters.
IV. Tax and Financial Compliance
1. Tax and Financial Compliance Management: Ensure that each subsidiary complies with local tax and financial regulations, including but not limited to VAT and corporate income tax in mainland China; profits tax and business registration in Hong Kong; and annual filings and economic substance reporting in the Cayman Islands.
2. Risk Alert and Internal Control: Identify and assess legal and compliance risks in the Group’s financial operations in a timely manner, formulate risk response plans, improve the Group’s internal control systems and approval processes, and prevent non-compliance risks.
1. Full-time bachelor’s degree or above; majors in law, finance, financial management, economics/management, or related fields are preferred.
2. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA are preferred.
II. Work Experience
1. 2+ years of relevant experience in a treasury management role at a group enterprise or family office.
2.2+years of relevant experience in bank treasury compliance, anti-money laundering (AML).
3. Hands-on experience in opening and maintaining offshore corporate bank accounts and in cross-border treasury operations.
III. Professional Knowledge
1. Familiar with the core company law and fiscal/tax law regimes and regulatory requirements of mainland China, Hong Kong, and the Cayman Islands.
2. Knowledge of financial regulatory rules such as cross-border fund flows, foreign exchange administration, and anti-money laundering.
IV. Core Competencies
1. Communication and Coordination: Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently with banks, regulators, external counsel, and multiple internal departments within the Group.
2. Data Analysis: Solid financial analysis, data sensitivity, and report-writing skills.
3. Risk Awareness and Professional Integrity: Strong risk control and confidentiality awareness; professional conduct and a big-picture perspective expected of a mid-level group manager.
4. English Proficiency: English can be used as a working language; able to review English legal documents and contracts and communicate with offshore institutions.
