Job summary

MTR Corporation Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury/Accounting Assistant to support account opening, KYC, and treasury paperwork. You will verify commissions, assist in loan drawdown documentation, and coordinate with banks and internal teams to ensure timely settlements and compliance.

Strong English and Chinese, good Excel skills, and at least 4 years’ relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in corporate treasury/banking/accounting or related fields.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; good interpersonal skills.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate account opening procedures and collect information for onboarding and KYC requests from banks.
• Verify accuracy of commissions, service fees and other charges and arrange timely settlement.
• Assist in preparing documentation for loan drawdowns, bank guarantees and regular bank reporting.
• Assist in maintaining the group’s list of authorized signatories with banks.
• Compile Treasury papers to ensure compliance with deadlines and formatting with Legal and Company Secretarial teams.
• Maintain treasury-related documents including loan agreements and derivative contracts; ensure accessibility and accuracy.
• Provide secretarial and administrative support including correspondence with internal stakeholders and bankers.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Facilitate account opening procedures and collect necessary information to support onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) requests from banks
• Verify the accuracy of commissions, service fees and other finance charges and arrange timely settlement
• Assist in preparing documentation for loan drawdowns, bank guarantee issuance and on-going regular reporting to banks
• Assist in updating and maintaining the Group’s list of authorized signatories with banks
• Compile the Treasury papers to ensure compliance with deadline and formatting requirements through close coordination with Legal and Company Secretarial team
• Conduct proper maintenance and safe-keeping of all treasury-related documentation including loan agreements, derivative contracts and other relevant records to ensure completeness, accuracy and accessibility
• Provide secretarial and administrative support including preparing correspondence with internal stakeholders and bankers

Requirements

• Grade E / Level 2 / "Attained" or above in 5 subjects of HKCEE / HKDSE, including English and Chinese Languages and Mathematics, preferably with post-secondary education in Accountancy or a related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, in corporate treasury / banking / accounting or other accounting-related fields
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and preferably Cantonese
• Proficiency in software applications, such as Chinese and English word processing, Excel, PowerPoint

Remarks

• Candidates with higher qualification but less experience will also be considered
