Job summary

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions in Accounting at the ranks of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and service.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in accounting is required.

Application Period

Conditions of Appointment

• The appointment will be made on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
• Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.
• Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in accounting.
• Experienced candidates with outstanding teaching and research records are highly desirable, particularly in teaching master's or MBA courses.
• Applicants for appointment as Professor/Associate Professor should have a track record of internationally recognized scholarship and teaching.
• The appointees are expected to deliver quality teaching and be committed to high-quality scholarly research and services.

Compensation and Benefits

• A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
• At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
• The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.
• Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
