Job summary

HKUMed – The University of Hong Kong invites applications for a Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine. The appointee will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervise M.Phil./Ph.D.

students, conduct scholarly research, and provide clinical service at affiliated hospitals. The appointment is a four-year fixed-term with renewal possibility and potential for tenure.

Qualifications

• Medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
• Preference for specialist qualification in Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching with potential for academic medicine.

Responsibilities

• Teach predominantly at the undergraduate level and supervise postgraduate students.
• Teach postgraduate courses and supervise M.Phil. and Ph.D. students.
• Conduct high-quality scholarly research and provide clinical service at affiliated hospitals.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university administration/ services.
