Job description

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Associate Professor/ Clinical Assistant Professor (several posts) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534424) to commence as soon as possible. The contract is a four‑year fixed‑term basis with possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four‑year contract, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

• Medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
• Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine).
• Proven capacity and potential for high‑quality research, excellence in teaching and student supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Strong commitment to teaching and ability to contribute to the enhancement and development of medical and health‑science courses in the Faculty.
• Experience successfully developing and submitting research grants and working with major international partners and funding agencies, interacting effectively across multiple sectors, and establishing and managing studies involving colleagues from interdisciplinary backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; organise and develop both levels of the curriculum.
• Conduct high‑quality scholarly research and provide clinical services and patient care at the University’s teaching hospitals.
• Participate in services and administration at departmental, faculty, and university levels.
• Lead the development of academic scholarship and teaching programmes of the Department.
