Job summary

HK Express in Hong Kong seeks an experienced aviation engineer to provide technical support to the fleet, focusing on avionics maintenance and airworthiness compliance. Engage with departments, vendors and manufacturers to resolve in-service issues and implement AD/SB requirements.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to fleet reliability and participate in ongoing projects to induct new and used aircraft into the Hong Kong fleet, with a dynamic, multicultural team environment.

Role Purpose

• Provide technical support to HKE fleet with day-to-day activities for fleet maintenance requirements


• Technical assistance for in-service avionics system issues


• Support the continued airworthiness function


• Manage technical and commercial evaluation to meet the operational and regulatory requirements


• Provide AOG and on-site support


• Interact across Airline departments, vendors and aircraft manufacturers


• Review and Evaluate ADs, SBs and other OEM technical documentation


• Develop EOs for the implementation of AD/SB requirement


• Compile the Task Cards per for AMS tasks


• Analyze the reliability issue of avionics system and recommend changes to RCB to improve/maintain reliability levels


• Support FOP MEL revision change (Avionics items) review bases on MMEL or other Modification


• Perform oversight on modifications and other ad-hoc projects


• Support projects to induct new and used aircraft onto the Hong Kong register and entry into service


• Perform and carry out other duties the Assistant Manager, Technical Service may assign

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree or above qualification in Engineering or any related discipline


• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in aviation engineering; Minimum 3 years of related working experience in TS aircraft avionics system


• Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering License is preferred


• Experience of working with airworthiness authorities


• Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese


• Design Organization experience preferable


• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Engineer position.
