Job description

Our client is a leading global market maker and liquidity provider. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to handle the end-to-end delivery of our global data center and network infrastructure.

You will be the critical link between network architects, systems engineers, hardware vendors, and colocation providers. Your programs directly determine the capacity, latency, and resilience—factors that translate into real P&L impact when microseconds separate profit from loss. When a new data center comes online or a core network upgrade goes live, it will be because you orchestrated the timeline, managed complex supply chains, mitigated risks, and kept every stakeholder aligned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of data center expansions and colocation migrations, including power, cooling, space, and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
  • Manage multi-year network hardware lifecycle programs, including next-gen switching (400GbE/800GbE), routing platforms, and optical transport systems critical to low-latency trading.
  • Drive network optimization projects, ensuring infrastructure changes never degrade microsecond-level performance targets that are essential for market-making competitiveness.
  • Partner with SRE and Network Operations teams on post-incident root-cause analysis, driving permanent corrective actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical:

  • Deep working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN) and TCP/IP stack optimization—the technologies powering ultra-low-latency trading systems.
  • Proven experience with data center physical infrastructure—fiber types, structured cabling, power density (kW/rack), and cooling methodologies in colocation environments.
  • Familiarity with modern merchant silicon (e.g., Broadcom Tomahawk/Trident) and ability to discuss hardware specifications credibly with engineers.
  • Working knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible) and telemetry/observability tools is a strong plus.

Program Management:

  • 5+ years delivering large-scale networking or data center infrastructure programs in high-performance, latency-sensitive environments.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-workstream projects across geographically distributed teams.
  • Exceptional risk management—you spot supply chain, permitting, or capacity bottlenecks before they become crises.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience in ultra-low-latency environments (HFT, algorithmic trading, real-time streaming, HPC).
  • CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent practical expertise (experience > certifications).
