Our client is a leading global multi strategy hedge fund whose strategies include Credit, CBs, event-driven equity and fundamental equity.

They seek a talented mid to senior level candidate with an exceptional network in Korea to join their Asia team and be focused on originating and executing across investment opportunities across Asset classes in the Korean market. They will spend significant time on shore sourcing, networking, and conducting research on the ground.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of finance industry experience ideally from the buy side; another hedge fund, private equity, private credit or investment banking
• Top GPA or ranking in university
• Fluent Korean language proficiency

The most critical soft skill for this role is exceptional entrepreneurial drive and “scrappiness” -this will be explored during the interview and selection process

• Many of the best investment opportunities will very much require sourcing “off the beaten path” in terms of access and / or idea generation
• Mere adeptness at executing standard repeatable processes is insufficient
• Exceptional local network and connectivity in Korea

• Intellectual capability and “raw horsepower” should be high
