Bloom KKCA Academy in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for English (Bilingual) to support the delivery of the school’s bilingual program and to provide 1:1 and small-group support for a lower primary pupil with complex learning needs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required; teaching qualification preferred.
• Native fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar TA role.
• Teaching certificate or PGCE preferred.
• Putonghua Proficiency Test Level B or above.
• Demonstrated academic excellence and satisfactory criminal background check.

Position Overview

The role of the Teaching Assistant is to assist teachers in the delivery of the education program within the classroom and support activities inside and outside the classroom to ensure students are safe, happy, and learning in a positive and nurturing environment.

We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and skilled Teaching Assistant for English (Bilingual) to provide English language support and individualized academic, social-emotional, and behavioural support, including 1:1 support for a Lower Primary student with complex learning needs. The successful candidate will be bilingual in English and Cantonese/Mandarin and will play a vital role in helping students develop English literacy, self-regulation, social communication, and a positive self-concept.

You will enable students to meaningfully access our innovative bilingual curriculum through tailored English language differentiation, accommodations, small-group interventions, and positive reinforcement.

In addition to classroom and individual support, the TA for English (Bilingual) actively collaborates with Homeroom Teachers, English Teachers, the Learning Support Coordinator, the Pastoral Team, and external professionals. We are looking for a reflective, flexible, and hands-on team member who can act as an essential bridge between classroom learning, specialized English support, and family communication within our vibrant, community-centered environment.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree

• Native fluency in English / Mandarin

• At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role

• Teaching certificate, PGCE, or similar is preferred

• National Putonghua Proficiency Test Grade 2 Level B or above

• Demonstrated academic excellence

• Satisfactory criminal background check
