Job summary

A leading logistics service provider in Hong Kong is seeking a project manager with a background in Information Technology. The ideal candidate will lead a team, conduct feasibility studies, and provide user support. Familiarity with Java, web technology, and container terminal operations is preferred. Strong analytical skills and fluent English and Mandarin communication skills are essential. This role may require overseas travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• To perform project management of application systems from system development & project implementation
• To lead a team to perform the following duties:
  • Conduct feasibility study, functional requirement study and corresponding documentation
  • Perform system design & prepare design documentation
  • Evaluate & recommend IT tools & technologies to solve technical problems encountered
  • Provide user support on application systems and standby support outside office hours

Job Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
• Familiar with Client Server, Object Oriented, Web Technology, Java J2EE, Hibernate, GXT, Oracle and SQL, UNIX and Windows environment
• Hands-on experience in Java programming, webpage and mobile apps development
• Knowledge in container terminal operation is an additional advantage
• Good command of both English and Mandarin
• Good analytical skill and customer-oriented
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Overseas travel might be required
