ST Engineering Advanced Networks & Sensors Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a skilled engineer to design and integrate advanced communication and vehicle electronics systems. You will work on RF, EO/IR, and networked platforms across defense and public security applications, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key member of the technical team responsible for the design, integration, and implementation of communication systems, vehicle platform electronics, and electro-optical subsystems. The role spans system engineering, integration, testing, and deployment across mobile and mission-critical platforms.
Understand contractual and project requirements; develop end-to-end system architectures covering communications, vehicle electronics, and electro-optical payloads
Define interfaces between subsystems (RF, networking, vehicle power systems, sensors, EO/IR payloads)
Perform technical trade-offs and ensure designs meet performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Design and implement RF and communication systems (e.g. radio, satellite, microwave, data links)
Configure and integrate IP-based networking systems (TCP/IP) and associated hardware/software
Conduct link budget analysis, RF performance validation, and interference assessment
Design and integrate vehicle electrical/electronic systems, including:
Power distribution and conditioning
Control systems and embedded controllers
Interfaces with onboard mission systems
Ensure compliance with automotive/military vehicle standards (EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal, environmental)
Support system installation, harnessing, grounding, and integration on vehicle platforms
Support integration and testing of electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, sensors, and imaging payloads
Perform functional verification, calibration, and alignment checks
Interface EO systems with display, control, and data communication subsystems
Develop and execute test plans for system, subsystem, and integration levels
Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and field trials
Use test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and optical test tools
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across domains (RF, network, electronics, EO systems)
Produce design documents, interface control documents (ICDs), test reports, and user manuals
Prepare and deliver technical design reviews and presentations
Support project timelines and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and customers
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
Preferably 2 years’ experience in RF/communications systems, Vehicle electronics / embedded systems, Electro-optical or sensor systems (preferred)
Knowledge in Telecommunications systems (RF, satellite, microwave, digital comms), Vehicle electrical/electronic architecture and integration, Electro-optical systems (EO/IR, cameras, sensors)
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and system integration
Experience with EMI/EMC considerations and environmental testing is advantageous
Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (RF and/or electronics)
Basic understanding of embedded systems, control systems, or CAN bus is a plus
Project management exposure is advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work independently and in teams
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Willing to travel short notice
